As a creative stylist, successful entrepreneur, and educator, the beauty industry has been Ida-Marie’s passion since she was 17. She has trained in New York, Toronto and Italy with some of the leading world stylists and her advanced education includes training with Vidal Sassoon, Sukis, Toni & Guy. Her work has been published both nationally and internationally in trade magazines.
As an educator for Wella Canada, Ida Marie spent many years teaching and developing workshops for many salons including Elizabeth Arden Salons, Regis, and many independent salons. As salon owners, she and Michael have enjoyed having the opportunity to give back, introducing new talent to the industry, supporting apprenticeships, and providing ongoing education to their staff.
For the last few years Ida-marie has been busy as co-owner of one of the top salons in the Comox Valley. During her ownership she had an invaluable experience, creating fabulous hair, meeting interesting people, developing their own product line, becoming importers of beauty products, educating staff, providing apprenticeships and working with a fabulous team.

Always keeping his focus on his clients, Michael has been a successful hairdresser for over 30 years.
For the last 20 years Michael has been here in the valley creating fashion-forward, beautiful, wearable hair for his loyal clients, as owner of one of the top salons in the Comox Valley. Michael has extensive training in cutting and colour by Vidal Sassoon’s, holds a master colourist certificate and has advanced training in event hair by Martin Parsons.
Michael’s years as a hairstylist have been full of education, travelling nationally and internationally to places such as New York, Italy, Toronto, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas,to keep on top of the latest trends and techniques. His work has been featured in trade magazines, and he has enjoyed sharing his knowledge by educating fellow stylists and providing many apprenticeships over the years.
His commitment to the art and craft of hairdressing shows in his beautiful work. He is accomplished in both cutting and colouring hair and is exceptional at wedding and special occasion hair.
